Welcome
to the website of Suali Textiles, designers of contemporary felt
art and ragwork.

Suali
Textiles is a collaboration between textile artists Ali Scott and
Sue Forey. They share a mutual passion for working with a variety
of fibres and particularly enjoy using the techniques of felt making
and rag work. Inspiration comes from diverse sources such as the
awe inspiring landscape here in West Wales.
Their
work is constantly changing and evolving. More recent pieces incorporate
the Nuno technique ( felting onto woven material ) and dry needle
felting.
Sue
and Ali also enjoy rag work. This is a traditional craft which has
developed into a contemporary art form.
Ali
and Sue run a successful business supplying local craft outlets
with a variety of goods including wall art, hats, scarves, bags,
brooches and cards. Both are qualified tutors and offer workshops
in felting and rag work.
They
have exhibited locally and have recently completed a school community
project to celebrate 130 years of the local, village primary school.
This was in the form of a large ragwork wallhanging based on the
school logo.
Commissions are willingly undertaken. Ali is a member of the International
Feltmakers Association.
We
hope that you enjoy this site !
